The atmospheric paintings in this gallery are done with oil paint and cold wax. My initial vision for each piece draws on intuition and past personal experiences. Rather than the usual canvas, I work on rigid wooden board, using a method of layering the oil paint and wax with a dough scraper and roller. Each painting is finished with bold color highlights applied with a palette knife.
